In this vibrant painting project you will arrange a "still life" composition in front of a window. A still life is a painting of one or more objects that don't move. They are still! You will be painting the objects you arrange--as well as what you see outside the window. If you don't have a window you can easily use, you can imagine one to paint!

A fun part of this project includes collecting and arranging assorted objects from home for your still life composition. These could include a bowl of fruit, a vase or pot of flowers, a house plant, a bottle with an interesting shape, things from nature: a large shell or pinecone, a small sculpture or knick-knack, a toy or stuffed animal, a book or candleholder or ??? Use your imagination!

Included in this Art Box:
- Sketch paper on drawing board for practice sketches
- Black vine charcoal for practice sketch (use gently as it breaks easily)
- 7 Bottles acrylic paint (wear a smock and cover the painting surface)
- 3 paint brushes
- Plate for mixing paint
- Stretched canvas for painting
- Wood easel for holding your canvas while painting and displaying your painting when complete
- Box of 12 water-soluble oil pastels
