CHANGE + CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand plans change and that many families haven't finalized their summer plans. We have very friendly policies to make it a stress-free summer. If you register and need to switch weeks, simply email us. We'll swap the weeks as long as we have space available. Some weeks are filling up, so we encourage you to sign up sooner than later. If a family chooses to cancel a week, we will refund your tuition, minus the $35 registration fee and an additional 3% credit card fee, as long as we receive an email cancellation request by the Wednesday of the week prior.

DATES
At each of our sites, Camp Wildcraft builds an exuberant camp community, with each day's program building on what came before. To create an immersive experience, we offer weekly sessions. To support the social connections we know kids especially need this summer, if possible, we encourage families to sign up for a minimum of two weeks.

  • Session 2  June  21-25

Drop off and Pickup will take place  nextdoor at Under the Oaks on Las Flores Rd. Activities will take place outdoors at both sites; we will be using the field and play area at the Sycamore School for team games and the large outdoor space at Under the Oaks for our more focused art and nature activities.

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR SUMMER 2021

We had an awesome four weeks of in-person camp at our Malibu site last summer. Strictly following the LA Dept. of Public Health guidelines, all of our campers and staff stayed healthy and safe. We learned a lot last summer, and in partnership with our camp families, are prepared to create the best environment we can for kids to thrive this summer.

Click here to read our Covid Safety Protocols for 2021 in alignment with current guidelines from the LA Dept. of Public Health and the American Camp Association.

JUNIOR GUIDE MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM
We are enthusiastically committed to creating a pathway for our older campers thrive and grow at Camp Wildcraft. This summer, we are evolving this leadership program at both sites, for campers entering 6th through 9th grades. Junior Guides are part of our multi-age groups. In addition to participating in all the Wildcraft art, nature and adventure programs, Junior Guides will be mentored by our team to identify and channel their strengths and interests through special projects and camp leadership opportunities. They will be part of a Junior Guide cohort so they can connect with other campers their age. Please schedule a time to talk with Shari if you would like more information on this program.

OUR WILDCRAFT GUIDES(AKA Counselors) are caring, creative and safety-minded and participate in an intensive staff training, They guide our campers to make friends, explore the arts and discover the wild wonders of our natural world. There are two Wildcraft Guides for each group of up to 14 campers. Our Guides are supervised by our Leadership Team at each location.

OUR TWO LOCATIONS:

Our Site at the Sycamore School in Malibu
NOTE: Sessions 8 + 9 (the first two weeks of August) we will also be using the adjacent and connected campus of Under the Oaks school.
Our expansive and beautiful campus in Malibu provides ocean breezes to keep us cool on the sports field, and in our grassy play areas and outdoor workshop and vegetable garden. This year all camp activities will take place outside. Campers take daily hikes along the nearby creek where they hunt for crystals, put on their water shoes and look for tadpoles, sail homemade  boats and explore the wild places. There is also a sports area where kids can play informal games of basketball and tennis. The Sycamore School is an independent school committed to building gritty, empathetic, curious, and reflective learners, a goal Camp Wildcraft heartily shares! The address is 3504 Las Flores Canyon off the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

Our Site at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas
At this spectacular 588 acre park, daily hikes take place in the cooler mornings, and art workshops, nature skills,  fort building,  games, theater and  group activities take place in the grassy meadows and under the shady oak trees. This summer all activities will take place outside. The Ranch address is 26800 Mulholland Highway, at the intersection of Mulholland Highway and Las Virgenes Road,  across the street from Malibu Creek State Park.
